Resources
A section on various resources for visual kei things! This is in no way sponsored and solely based on my own personal experiences/
those of friends. This page will probably be an eternal WIP as I slowly add more and more things.
Physical Purchasing [Proxy, US-based]
ZenMarket: If you live outside of Japan, you'll need to use a proxy. Personally, I've settled on ZenMarket, as they can get most things now.
I also really think they have good customer service, and even without buying extra reinforcement, they pack things extremely well. A lot of my foreign
mail gets dented, but due to the large amount of packaging used, everything tends to be fine. They did recently (2023?) update their fee, so it can be
a pain if you want something thats 100 yen and have to pay 500 yen plus shipping... To mitigate this, I suggest buying things in bulk when possible.
Rarezhut: I've bought a couple of things from here! US-based. I reccomend their auctions!
CDJapan: I haven't bought things personally from here, but friends have and they haven't seemed to have any issues.
Buyee: Similar as CDJapan, I haven't used it, but friends have without issue.
Physical Purchasing [Japanese Sites]
Band's Sites: I think if you have the means to do so and the band still have an OHP/The label does, it's best to buy from them!
Of course, it doesn't always work out that way. Usually you can find a band's OHP/label OHP from VKGY's database or twitter.
Mercari JP: My absolute beloved. Resale.
Yahoo! Auctions JP: I usually compare prices with Y!A and Mercari if they have the same item. Resale.
Digital
Twitcast: I've noticed an increase in bands who stream things via Twitcast! Not every band/label does, but it's definitely worth checking out!
I believe most if not all are paid tickets. Important note is the streams [at least the paid ones] are available for a limited time.
